You'll undertake site surveys, prepare schedules of work for contractors engaged in the installation and maintenance of enforcement infrastructure and services and monitor work standards.

A qualified engineer, you'll need a good knowledge of electrical installation practices and IEE 16th edition wiring regulations. Your experience of using database systems for operational and monitoring purposes should be supported by an understanding of highways infrastructure and asset management and the New Roads & Street Works Act. A driving licence will be essential.

Description: Leading Consultancy seeks Combat Systems Engineer to work within their Marine Division reporting to the Systems Engineering Programme Executive. The role will include undertaking a range of combat system studies including: assessment of design change and enhancement e.g. functional assessment, subsystem interfaces, performance issues etc; production of specifications e.g. requirements documentation, acceptance plans etc; undertaking reviews of 3rd party documentation; analysis of test and trials data. The role will also involve managing small to medium bids and projects and being responsible for delivery of outputs to time, quality and cost constraints.
Candidates will need at least 8 years experience, preferably in the Marine Defence sector and should have a broad understanding of naval combat systems, subsystems and equipments including sensors and effectors. They will also need a broad understanding of risk management techniques and a broad understanding of interfaces to platform systems and naval platform procurements. A good knowledge and understanding of MoD procurement and support processes is also highly desirable.
More generally candidates will need to be able to liaise with customers and subcontractors at all levels on technical issues, manage any allocated budget, be able to communicate with the DPA, DLO, DEC etc, analyse test and trial data, be able to give clear written and verbal presentations, have experience of working to ISO 9001:2000 etc.

The business group covers: Airbase Operations Management Systems, Information Services from Commander to Cockpit, Mission Support and Mission Planning for manned and unmanned military vehicles and Link 16 Network Monitoring and Management Systems.
You will be responsible for leading teams of multidisciplinary engineers performing systems engineering activities on allocated projects across the full project lifecycle. This will include requirements capture, systems analysis and design, interface design and control, systems integration, systems test planning, verification, validation, acceptance testing and delivery. To prepare, lead and participate in reviews and will normally require customer and subcontractor integration. As a result, the individual should have experience in an outward-facing role and be able to represent the company at a senior level with potential customers.
Candidates will need detailed knowledge of the full development lifecycle. Experience in systems analysis, design, development and/or test activities. Commercial Manager (Defence, Contracts Management)
