A broadcast systems design manufacurer is looking for a test development engineer. Must have Labview experience in an electronics production environment and some RF knowledge.
Job specification
Test Development Engineer (UK)
Produce and support production test solutions for Digital TV products.
You will be required:
To design and support the production of test solutions for complex digital TV products manufactured by sub-contract partners.
Configuring, programming and supporting NI LabView and TestStand controlled ATE systems
Choosing appropriate test equipment and design of production test jigs and fixtures, particularly for RF modulation schemes e.g. QAM.
Producing test plans, procedures, and all necessary documentation.
Required Skills:
At least two years experience with high technology electronics production, in particular with a high complexity, low volume, high product mix environment.
At least two years experience with RF modulation (QAM) test and measurement e.g. supporting production, selecting test equipment.
Can produce high quality production test procedures and documents.
Will have over two year's experience using, programming and supporting ATE systems controlled with NI LabView. Experience of TestStand an advantage.
Can manage projects and work closely with design groups and development project leaders
Experience of communication protocols, especially GPIB, serial, TCP/IP, USB.
Knowledge of JTAG, in-circuit testing(ICT), Built-in self test (BIST).
Computer literate: at least three years experience with MS Word, Excel, and knowledge of MS Project and Visio or equivalents.
Personal Specification:
Energetic, motivated, fast learner able to react to a dynamic environment
Good problem solver - will see a problem through to completion.
Good communicator both verbal and written
Educated to HND/HNC or equivalent status, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
Able to work well under pressure. Can manage time and priorities.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as within the team of 6 and be able to liase professionally with different departments and other companies.
