A leading supplier of operator & directory services solutions for the Telecoms market, are currently looking for a Telecoms Development Support Engineer to work in their Sunbury on Thames office. This role requires a high level of technical expertise combined with adaptable attitude and the ability to be both resourceful and pragmatic. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years telecoms carrier grade switching experience as well as SS7 ISUP, ISDN and SIP protocol knowledge. The role is based in their development labs in Sunbury consisting mainly of fault diagnosis, analysis of fault logs, re-creation of problems reported and testing of fault corrections in the lab. A previous background in software development/maintenance as well as technical support for installation, configuration/data fill and testing of telecoms switches, data networks, ACD, IVR and call centre applications will be considered a distinct advantage. Applicants should have a good degree in Software Engineering (or related discipline) coupled with at least five years experience in the areas of software development and technical support within the telecommunications or data networking/IT industry.
