Description: Save Job View saved jobs		My client is looking for an experienced and versatile C++ telecommunications software engineer to join their team developing innovative IP-based GSM and EDGE network products. Preference will be given to candidates who, while possessing the key telecoms skills, have sufficiently broad skills and experience to be able make a significant contribution in other areas when required. Role/responsibilities The following are essential requirements for this position: Good engineering degree ¡V 2.1 or better. 2+ years commercial object oriented design and C++ development. 2+ years developing software for telecommunications products. Development of real-time, multi-threaded, event-driven software. Development of telecommunications protocol software; experience of at least oneof the following: GSM, GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, DECT, TETRA, SS7, ISDN or other standards-based protocol. One or more of the following would be an advantage: Use of Linux C++ development and test tools. Experience of the C++ Standard Template Library (STL). Use of UML or similar methodology for design and documentation.ƒnExperience of developing telecommunications network management software.
