Primary Purpose of the Role: The advanced development project is aimed at provided high speed data communications to airborne users, and will be tackling those areas considered to represent the greatest technical risk. The later stages of the project will involve close interaction with production facilities elsewhere within the group, to take the product to market. The development team includes staff with skills in high speed digital hardware design, RF & microwave circuitry, signal processing algorithm design, and implementation of DSP, data protocol & control algorithms in software and on FPGAs.

Key Tasks: This specific post being advertised requires experience in the design and implementation of wireless data communications systems, such as satellite comms, & portable radio & navigation systems. We are seeking candidates with a detailed knowledge of how to implement digital signal processing algorithms for such systems in hardware and software

Technical & Professional skills: Essential: DSP for comms applications Embedded software & DSP Desirable: DSP algorithms on FPGAs

Education & Qualifications: B.Sc/M Eng in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
