Description:
Network Managers/Cell planners needed for ongoing project based in Dublin. Experience on Alcatel kit would be ideal for planning and assisting with the following project.
The Introduction of new SDH Radio products to our customers. Work in this area may include:
Introduction of new products on customer premises (or supervision of same) including network planning, design and integration
Network Integration and Interoperability testing
Software & Data migration on Alcatel SDH Products
Act as a member of the team providing support for Alcatel customers as defined in the relevant SDH contracts. Work in this area may include:
Customer liaison
Tracking of technical problems and queries (investigation, working with the Product Support Centres.)
Development of procedures for use in the field
Customer Workshops
Provision of expertise on the Alcatel range of SDH Radio products (MW Radio including USY and LSY)
Participation in response to customer requests for emergency assistance
Other functions as determined by the Engineering Manager
This work may take place in Alcatel premises in Cork/Dublin or on customer premises in Ireland.
Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:
Primary degree graduate level in a relevant discipline
Industry experience covering the areas required in the job description is essential
Knowledge of Alcatel SDH radio family including USY and LSY Radio
Self starting, willing to take responsibility for their actions, able to operate in isolation, but also as part of a team
Willing and able to travel as required by the job and for training
