A large Engineering and Electronics company are looking for a Test Equipment Support Engineer to provide test solutions in support of engineering development and manufacturing activities such that efficient production of new & existing product is achieved. This is a Permanent role outside the London area paying £25-34K depending upon your experience. Areas of responsibility:
Design & Commission test equipment hardware and software based around PCI, PXI and GPIB architectures.
Design of test equipment digital & analogue interface circuitry.
Manage packages of work using both internal and external resources to ensure that all agreed technical, financial and timescale objectives are achieved.
Prepare and maintain test specifications and test equipment documentation.
Implement environmental test regimes.
Occasionally assist Cell Support department in fault finding test equipment.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing cells and other company departments.
Provide estimates to Test Design Manager.
You will need 5+years experience in test system hardware development, 5+years experience in test software development, experience of test fixture and interface design and experience of supporting test systems within a manufacturing environment. You must also have knowledge of TestStand, LabView, LabWindows CVI, HP/HT Basic, Boundary Scan (JTAG Technologies) and Analogue / Digital design.
