Description: Our client, a well known utilities organisation, are seeking a Standards Engineer to work within the Power division on a major project.
You will be responsible for leading, evaluating and making recommendations for applications for equipment approval from partner supplies as well as drafting standards based on international standards.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience within the electricity industry with working knowledge of international European and British standards applicable to distribution plant cables and equipment. Any experience of design, operation and maintenance of power networks up to 33kv will be an advantage. You will also be qualified to at least HNC level and ideally hold a professional qualification in Electrical Engineering. You will have the ability to create and write internal standards and have an awareness of the importance of Type test and fire material requirements in a railway.
