RF Development Engineer (Design and Test).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Essential: Degree or HND qualification in a related discipline; 3 years experience of electronics design; Experience in test specification generation; Experience in test routine and ATE generation, using Labview Computer literate. Desirable: EFACS experience; High level language capability (E.g. C, C++); Knowledge of Wireless Communications Industry. KEY TASKS: Generates test specifications, test routines and any required ATE; Post development support to the relevant production test; Liaises with drawing office in completing circuit schematics and PCB designs; Liaises with production engineering in Design For Manufacture (DFM); Liaises with purchasing and production control to support the product into production; Designs and develops product solutions to customer specific requirements; Generates documentation to provide Post Development Support (PDS); Generates test specifications, to include associated Test Equipment for production verification; Generates customer handbooks and manuals; Project team support in meeting overall project requirements; Liaises with customer support for technical customer queries and problems (inc Post Development Support); Liaises with sales to support new enquiries and to help generate customer proposals. JOB PURPOSE: To develop RF products in the RF areas of the companys business, to the design standards and to the customers specific requirements. Additionally to support RF Test in the generation and maintenance of test specifications, test routines and any associated ATE. To assist the RF Test Repair Supervisor in the training and development of RF Test Technicians.
