Combat Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment of design change and enhancement eg functional assessment, subsystem interfaces and performance issues etc

Production of specifications

Undertaking review of 3rd party documentation

Analysis of test and trials data

Managing small to medium bids and projects taking responsibility for timely delivery of outputs within defined budgets.

Qualifications/skills:

Degree qualified (or equivalent) practical project experience

The ability to communicate technical issues clearly and coherently both internally and externally at all levels (including verbal and written presentations)

The ability to establish good working relationships with customers and suppliers

Knowledge and Experience

At least 8 years' experience, preferably in the marine defence sector with:

A broad understanding of naval combat systems, subsystems and equipments, including sensors and effectors

A broad understanding of risk management techniques

A broad understanding of interfaces to platform systems and naval platform procurements

A good knowledge and understanding of MOD procurement and support processes
