The department’s role is to establish both Printed Circuit Board and product test solutions for a varied range of Variable Speed Drive products. This role will reinforce the team in order to support the continual growth of the business.
Working Partners/Contacts
The successful candidate will be a member of the Test Engineering team within the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
Education
·Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or associated subject.
Knowledge/Languages
·Knowledge of the C programming language and Visual Basic with experience using the LabWindows/ CVI integrated development environment and the concept of Dynamics Link Libraries. As well as Teradyne Spectrum and Takaya roving probe test platforms.
·Knowledge of German would be useful.
Experience
·Familiarity of the Lean Manufacturing concept and process measures such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness. In addition to Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
·An understanding of power system and switchgear technology.
·Experience of In-Circuit Test principles and test methods.
·Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practise when applied to medium and high voltage mains installations.
·Experience of investigating, reporting and improving on all related manufacturing and associated processes.
Capabilities
·Flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
·Ability to work to project deadlines.
·Prepared to work flexibly to support a variety of shift patterns
