Description: Software Modelling Engineers / Software Systems Engineers required by a leading international defence organisation to support the design, implementation, testing and deployment of communications systems for Synthetic Environment systems.
Key Responsibility Areas
Several vacancies exist for motivated individuals who have gained experience of the some or all of the following in a software development environment.
· Requirements Analysis, knowledge of DOORS an advantage.
· System/Software Design using Object Oriented design principles. Knowledge of Rational Unified Modelling Language and CASE tools preferred.
· Implementation of design using OPNET (Experience of C, C++ is required)
· Knowledge of communication protocols beneficial
· Experience in commercial or military mobile radio networks beneficial
· System and Integration Testing, planning and execution of Acceptance and Integration tests.
· Deployment and Support of communications systems in-service.
· Experience of Configuration Management practice.
· Experience of working within company quality procedures and business processes.
The working environment is team based requiring both excellent team working and communication skills. Effective time management and personal motivation are highly desirable. Typical qualifications might include a good HNC/HND or degree in Computing/IT or communications related subject.
