Senior Systems Engineering Consultants

Senior Systems Engineering Consultants are required by this growing consultancy working in the space and defence sectors. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of systems engineering from a relevant industry or consultancy background. Ability to understand and contribute to technical discussions relating to several / many of the following, and deep expertise in one or more of the subject areas: NEC; C4I; Naval radar; Synthetic aperture radar; Signal processing; GW guidance systems; GW seekers; EO sensors; Aerodynamics; Airframe propulsion systems; Precision-guided munitions; Armoured vehicles; Ship integration; Vehicle integration; Electronic architectures. This person is likely to have led a systems engineering section or group in the defence industry (defence prime contractor), or defence consultancy supporting prime or large contracts or possibly a transferable industry e.g. railway, civil aviation, ATC, Power generation etc. A high level of competence in most or all of the following is require: System specifications; Requirements management; Design certification, verification and validation; system acceptance; System trials, rests and evaluation; Interface control; Project planning and management; System concepting; System trading and balancing. Along with a Degree in Engineering or Science, you will need to be an excellent communicator at all levels, with project management skills, using relevant tools e.g. MS Project, Prince2. This person will be highly organised and committed to achievement; continually improving the quality of processes and systems.
