Test Equipment Engineers c£20-30,000 + benefits Working for a major aerospace systems supplier the role of Test Equipment Engineers has been created due to significant new business orders
Duties: ? Design of test solutions for new product introduction programmes using a systems approach and standard test platforms where applicable, and in line with engineering technical requirements. ? Specification of such test systems to enable manufacture. ? Arranging and co-ordinating manufacture and commissioning of such systems to meet project timescales. ? Writing and compiling of test software applicable to the test platform and product requirements and in line with project timescales. ? Modification, refurbishment and/or renewal of facilities as appropriate throughout product lifecycle.
Skills/Qualifications: ? Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic circuit diagrams. ? Knowledge of PC based test equipment using PCI based instrument systems. ? Knowledge of software languages C and C++. In addition, knowledge of Labview and Labwindows/CVI and NI Teststand would be advantageous. ? Ability to fault find to sub-system and component level as appropriate. ? Knowledge of electronic system assembly techniques eg. Soldering, wiring etc. ? Experience of dealing with sub contract companies and driving supply chain to set objectives. ? Ability to communicate at all levels as appropriate. ? Ability to work as part of an integrated project team to tight timescales. ? Qualified to degree/HNC level in electronic engineering or related discipline
