Test Engineer

Test Engineer. Mandatory Skills and Experience: The company are happy to consider candidates who range from those with 18 months commercial software testing experience through to senior Test Engineers. However all candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to analyse and evaluate testing requirements and results. Educated to degree level (or equivalent). A good knowledge of test techniques to develop and improve the testing process. An understanding of the development and testing lifecycles. An understanding of wider testing issues with specific regard for improving the quality and reducing the cost of the testing process. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal. An enthusiastic, self motivated engineer who can work in a demanding environment to strict time lines. The Role: Strong analytical skills are one of the most important strengths a candidate should bring to this role. These will be deployed in the determination of test strategy, the creation of test plans and on through the full test lifecycle. Within the Test / QC function is a respected and highly valued part of the development lifecycle. The company seek engineers who regard testing as they do, as a profession demanding intelligence, creativity and thoroughness. There is plenty of scope for career advancement for such candidates.
