Job Description

The SCM team aims to provide the business with reproducible platform builds and a configuration management infrastructure. You will assist in this by designing, building and running many of the systems used by development: the source control system; the automatic package builders; and the document control systems. You will also play an active part in the creation of new processes, tools and systems to improve our existing development processes, particularly on Windows where you will have the opportunity to define the SCM processes that the ISP development team will follow.

Skills and Qualifications

- Knowledge of Windows
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience of repository management for a distributed development community
- Experience of Configuration Management in an ISP or enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of UNIX;Knowledge of package management systems
- Knowledge of rapid deployment technologies for Windows (eg SmartStart)
- Knowledge of commodity x86 hardware
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good coaching skills
- Desirable Skills & Knowledge:Knowledge of automatic build systems
- General Internet technology & protocols
- Knowledge of Sun hardware
