Microwave Team Leader
Join this leader in the Defence market. Within this role, you will provide technical and business focus for the team and act as first point of contact for RF/ microwave related activities within the Space Dept. Key Accountabilities: To BGM for team leader, business development, project manager activities. Key Performance Indicators: Ensure that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality requirements. Work on new business development opportunities. Contribute on a technical level to bids and projects. To develop a focussed and motivated team with a high level of team spirit and commitment to organisation. You will have at least 10 years experience in relevant RF/ microwave discipline, backed-up by solid body of knowledge acquired at both theoretical and practical level. Ideally already established/ prominent within relevant markets, e.g. through authorship / co-authorship of papers, and/ or previous work. Familiarity with RF / microwave state of art technologies practices, e.g. RF/ microwave CAD and test equipment. Knowledge of relevant industry/ markets (existing or new). Essential Personal Qualities/ Behavioural Characteristics: Ability to lead and work with others, to network to establish / maintain business contacts and to deliver under pressure. You will have a Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, 1st or upper 2nd class, or relevant Masters / PhD if first degree is in alternative technical subject such as Physics or Mathematics. Membership of relevant professional body e.g. IEE desirable. You must be willing to travel, this will be mainly within Europe for short overnight trips but occasionally may be further a field e.g. US, Canada
