Integration / Test Engineer

ESSENTIAL: Proven commercial experience of the test and integration phase of the software development/release lifecycle (as you will be testing the integration of software components comprising complex end-to-end broadcast systems); Your CV will clearly illustrate that you have comparable experience; Sound technical foundation (you should be able to demonstrate that you have the ability manage the technical environment in which you work.

DESIRED: Broadcast industry knowledge; Use of Silk Performer test tool and Rational ClearQuest defect-tracking tool (or similar products); Knowledge of Unix, Linux and Windows environments, plus a working knowledge of SQL and Java; Degree educated; Understanding and configuration of networks.

PROFILE: Recent experience will be of the integration/test of multi-faceted software solutions, important aspects being production of detailed test plans/reports and use of automated testing tools. Technologies used are Linux, Unix, Windows, Oracle/SQL and Java; Key tools: Silk Performer / ClearQuest. You will need to be a hands-on engineer, who is flexible, well organised, self-driven and a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

ROLE: Join a small team of Test Engineers in the Broadband Systems Solutions Department; Provide functional/integration testing for a variety of broadband products/systems, ensuring solutions delivered to customers are robust / functionally fit for purpose. Projects range from set-top boxes/simple one-off software solutions to major end-to-end broadcast systems. Verify new releases / component fit for deployment prior to release for installation on customer site and to assist with the investigation of issues found; May involve working as part of delivery project team, with focus of testing for that specific customer's requirements or you may be working on more generic basis across several projects.
